Logo Competition
Each school will put forward one(1) design for a Greenies Logo competition for selection before Friday 16th January 2009. All of the winning logo designs shall be dispalyed on this page after Christmas and voting shall take place on Friday 30th January. Each school is have 4 votes and the winning Logo shall be revealed on Monday 2nd February. This logo will represent the group on all official documents and on the web site thereafter.

The use of a logo gives a distinctiveness and your students are familiar with so many of them in everyday life. Have students list and describe as many logos as they can, e.g.

It must be very simple
It can be just a word or words
It can be a combination of words and a symbol or image
CHARACTERISTICS OF A GOOD LOGO
It should be very simple
It should be of limited colors (Graphic designers say that a good logo will have a maximum of 3 colors and these would include black or white lettering if used)
It must have a relevance to and a relationship to the subject, e.g.: A swimmer for a swimming club.
