Our Country

Our country is called Wales and it has lots of lovely views, cool shops and nice restaurants. Most of the people who go to our school live in Penarth, Cardiff or Barry. We have St.Davids day which is 1st of March. St.David is the patron saint of Wales. Wales is the home of dragons and is on our country’s flag. Wales did not invent rugby but it is still one of our favourite sports! Cardiff is the capitol of Wales and we really enjoy living here!
We have wonderful beaches that are good for surfing, climbing and playing in the sand. Our country also has a few special foods like welsh cakes, bara brith and leeks. We have lots of mountains and in some parts of Wales we get snow but we don’t get any here!
We even have our own language which is called Welsh but most people in our school speak English.
